Merchants who accepted Visa or Mastercard since January 1, 2004 are part of a $6 billion dollar settlement. However, merchants must take action to participate in this class action and ultimately receive compensation.
On January 25, 2019, a Superseding and Amended Definitive Class Settlement Agreement was preliminarily approved by the Court. Technically, this is a ‘new’ proposed $5.56–$6.26 billion settlement to provide payments to merchants who accepted Visa and MasterCard at any time from January 1, 2004 and the Preliminary Approval Settlement Date.
ERJ Solutions value you as a customer and recognize that you work hard for your money. As your trusted service provider, we have researched solutions, and have decided to work with a firm called Brownstone Recovery Group to help our merchants recover their share of the settlement.
Option 1: Do nothing and do not receive a share of the settlement. Merchants must take action to participate in this class action and receive compensation. No compensation will be sent to a merchant without taking action.
Option 2: Merchants can file their own claim(s) by working with the official settlement administrator. For more information and contact details for no-cost assistance, visit www.paymentcardsettlement.com.
Option 3: Retain Brownstone Recovery Group to work on their behalf and help them recover their share of the settlement. Their areas of expertise are interchange fees and class action settlements. They will navigate the filing process on your behalf and utilize their in-depth understanding of Interchange rules to help determine if the recovery is appropriate and fair. Brownstone Recovery fees (25% of the awarded amount) are only assessed when they recover funds for you. This allows you to focus more time on your business.
